Friendly

26 May, 2006

I’m so glad to know have made new friends. They are seminar class’s classmates. We go went to Yorkdale together. They are all friendly as my friends in my class.

Although it’s was the first time for me to go with them, they didn't never hesitate to share their lunch to let me have a taste their lunch. I’m so surprised about it because we all don’t know each other deeply.

I asked them including my friends. Does Are all Koreans all as friendly as you? Because we are the first time go out together, you don’t hesitate to share your lunch. I give them a big smile with my surprise.

People sometimes feel shy about shied to expressing their friendly friendliness in my country. Especially they meet together at first time. Each people seem has long distance between each other at first time. We will share food to each other in my country, but most of situations are not people who meet together at first time. I explained to them, so I’m surprised what they did.

Anyway, I’m glad to know new friend and new culture. ^,^

Do you mean they shared lunch with you or that they allowed you to taste their lunch? Neither is common practice in Canada or in mainland China, if I remember correctly.

Corrections:
(1) I'm so glad to have made new friends.
(2) We went to Yorkdale together. (Use past tense for past events.)
(3) Although it was the first time for me to go with them, they didn't hesitate to share their lunch with me. (Or, they didn't hesitate to let me taste their lunch---the meaning is different, though.)
(4) Are all Koreans as friendly as you?
(5) ... feel shy about expressing their friendliness ...

Well, my homestay's grandmother told me about share food for your friend when you are eating. That's showing polite and friendly.

If someone share me to taste food, I'm willing to try it. Ha, Ha,....

Well, she was probably referring to Greek culture, not Canadian culture.
